Berkeley Homes (North East London) employees have just started their epic cycling challenge across the south of France. This is the second of three key fundraising events to help Home-Start support more families across north east London.

Pedalling off yesterday, the 22 keen cyclists will cover a total of 458km as they make their way from Montpellier finishing in Monaco on Wednesday. Day two involves climbing the legendary Mont Ventoux which is part of one of the Tour De France stages. It is a 21.5km long climb going up approx. 1900 meters!

Fionna McDermott, Berkeley Foundation Representative for Berkeley Homes (North East London) Ltd is keeping Home-Start London updated on the cyclists’ progress. Fionna commented earlier,

“The Berkeley Homes (North East London) staff take volunteering and fundraising very seriously. A huge effort has been put into preparing for this event and securing sponsorship money and it looks like we are on course to raise our £25,000 target!”
