This week is Volunteers’ Week and we are celebrating the difference volunteering makes to the local Home-Starts across London.

Volunteers are the lifeblood of Home-Start. Recognising the wealth of skills, experience and knowledge they bring – volunteers make a huge difference to thousands of parents and children across the capital.

Last year over 850 volunteers provided practical and emotional support to over 2000 families to prevent crisis. Now operating across 19 boroughs, Home-Starts in London provide 58 services supported by volunteers to help local families cope with the challenges they face.

Helena Konneh, Home-Start London Director says, “London Home-Starts are incredibly fortunate to have a growing network of committed, trained volunteers – we never take for granted the time they give or their dedication to helping families turn their lives around. Without volunteers Home-Start just would not exist.”

Keen to recruit more Home-Start volunteers we would love to hear from anybody who is interested. Please contact Helena Konneh, Director via the contact us page.
